Michael Watkins is the Director of Alternative Education at the Santa Cruz County Office of Education. Michael earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Teaching Credential and a Master of Arts in School Administration all from California State University at Hayward. He has served on the Criminal Justice/Juvenile Justice Task Force, the Disproportionate Minority Confinement Task Force, the Broad Based Apprehension, Suppression, Treatment and Alternatives (BASTA) and the State Board of Corrections (Title XV) Task Force.
